Cristina Rebull is a Cuban powerhouse singer, actor, award winning writer, and professor of theatre in Miami, where she resides. When she sings it’s like watching a short story, her big rich, emotionally expressive voice, and physical expressions, have a wide range, which flutuate according to the character she becomes. You’ll get a sense of being in a Broadway ambience with an intimacy only Alvas offers. She sings Spanish, French (reminiscent of Edith Piaf), Portuguese and occasionally in Guarani (Paraguay).
Candi Sosa is a Cuban born singer songwriter, who resides in Los Angeles and has been a part of the local scene for decades. Candi sings in Spanish and English, with an authentic idioms, and some Portuguese classics. She is known for her vocal range and versatility. She can sing a Cella Cruz style Rumba, a Barbara Streisand standard, a Janis Joplin blues, a bolero, an American jazz standard, or a big Shirley Bassey ballad.
