Jimmy Branly is a Cuban-born, Cuban-raised drummer who has been based in Los Angeles for over 30 years. He has performed, toured, and collaborated with a wide range of internationally renowned artists, including Doc Severinsen, Russell Ferrante, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Keiko Matsui, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Isaac Delgado, NG La Banda, Celia Cruz, Jimmy Haslip, Bob James, Colin Hay (Men at Work), Sheila E., Oscar Hernandez, and Otmaro Ruiz, among many others.
Deeply rooted in Cuban rhythms and enriched by global musical influences, Jimmy continually explores new musical possibilities. This trio features world-class musicians René Camacho on bass and Andy Langham on piano, each bringing a distinctive approach to Latin music and jazz, resulting in a truly unique musical experience.
For this special concert, the trio is joined by legendary saxophonist Justo Almario as a guest artist. His presence expands the group’s exploration of South American rhythms, reflecting his musical heritage and adding further depth to the performance.
