The Long Beach Big Band, co-led by Pat Sheng and Mike Zilber, will be doing a benefit for the victims of the LA fires, with all proceeds going to leading relief organizations, including The American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, CORE, Musicares and the LA Humane Society. The fee is a sliding scale, depending on what concertgoers can afford to give.
The Long Beach Big Band is a new inter-generational Big Band based in Long Beach made up of some of the top jazz musicians in the area, and co-led by Saxophonists Pat Sheng and Mike Zilber, featuring fresh and forward-thinking and appealing big band music of a wide variety.
